Over twenty years ago, I said to some of our melded family children during their early twenties, “You don’t know who you are until the age of 33 to 35 years of age. Until that time, you are still learning and exploring your understanding of who you are and what you want for the rest of your life.” Sadly, those who get past forty years and still never learn about themselves are at high risk of never learning wisdom. I am always sad when I observe someone in their sixties that never added wisdom to their thinking and are still wandering aimlessly in direction.
Our eldest daughter, (My wife Jan’s Daughter) said to me ten years ago, “You know, I never forgot what you said, you were right.”
