‘Gaia Language’ Challenged by Disagreement

(2018)

Forward…

I received an interesting courteous e-mail on the 30th June 2018, linked to a website challenging in disagreement my paper titled “Gaia Language”. It is posted at the end of my forward response remarks, for readers to examine.

The author of the challenge has made it clear he does not agree with the creation of one Universal Language and believes ‘Diversity Existence of Different Languages’ is beautiful and essential. I disagree, and I am open to discussion, but I will not enter a debate, no one wins debates, both sides in opposition to each other, walk away with the same opinion still. I learned that wisdom from a 1937 Dale Carnegie book which I read as a young man in 1970.

Nowhere in my paper does it suggest that ‘Gaia Language’ should be forced upon the people. The author of the challenge has not read the ‘Visionary Gaia Language Paper’ correctly. The entire vision is the encouragement of evolution of one “Global Language” to help eliminate confusion, conflict and misunderstanding. It is not a “Force Process” it is an encouraged “Evolution Process”.

I tabled this important vision as an encouraged goal for humanity. In much the same way as many other visions in society, good and bad, have evolved over past millenniums. One vision society has held since before 2,500 years ago in Ancient Greece and India was the commitment to learn about the stars, planets and universe and consequently through evolution of ideas and discussions, not debates, science and philosophy has evolved as companions on the eternal quest for more understanding about the Universe. This evolution process began as ‘Astronomy’ and expanded into advanced knowledge called ‘Cosmology’.

Language experts thrive on the study of other languages and ideas and it is great to see that such enthusiasm exists. But such knowledge is in the hands of the few, when most people cannot read a translation of the ideas that flow from each language. We need a Universal Language to create a common Universal Understanding. The best words and synonyms from each language should be added to the evolution development of one Universal Language.

There is not any suggestion in the Gaia Language Paper that violent force or ahimsa force be used to evolve a One Language Solution to eliminate confusion, conflict and misunderstanding.

I do deliberately insert independent subjects and ideas throughout all my writing inside different presented subjects to encourage ‘Big Picture’ thinking and understanding. All ideas are jigsaw pieces and need through evolution of understanding to click together to strengthen our insight about the nature of existence in all its dynamic forms. That vision is easier said than done and requires personal commitment to learn with Open Mind, always striving to think outside the square of the square. Good Scientists & Philosophers think with dynamic open mind, and thus if they desire to do it, so can the average person, who has the commitment and will to learn higher truth and understanding.

If people read the paper carefully, they will observe that the statement “They also must know that freedom is fragile and must always be preserved- defended and protected, by whatever degree of force is necessary, to ensure ‘Liberty’ survives” … is an independent comment and is not included as a conclusion about the vision for the evolution of Gaia Language.

My paper does not suggest that force and violence should be used to impose Gaia Language on the people. The paper encourages evolution not force. In fact, all of my writings in all my papers and books are all founded upon ‘Ahimsa Methods’ and are focused upon the 100% Protection of Freedom Values. If the reader had taken time out and studied my ‘Cosmic Philosophy’ and ideas, he would have observed that nowhere in my writing does it encourage the use of any form of ‘Totalitarianism’ to impose ideas on society. My writing does constantly defend the human and non-human right to freedom and that right must be always defended by whatever degree of force is required to protect and defend the human right to live free. Even the non-human animal world instinctively lives by that ‘Cosmic Law’.

The author of the below website paper has not done their homework correctly and has misunderstood the vision of the “Gaia Language” paper.

If society rejects my vision by majority and chooses to instead live in a confused communication world in the name of ‘Diversity in Languages’ that is their choice. It will not affect me, because I will be long dead and gone, whilst society continues to thrive in constant conflict due to lack of understanding of each other, created by language barriers.

However, if society truly wants to live in peace void of the ‘Habit of War’ they must evolve one Universal Language. The word ‘Gaia’ was not coined by me, but ‘Gaia’ does mean ‘Mother Earth’ and we do need one ‘Mother Earth’ language.

If people around the world do not understand each other, the world has failed in communication of understanding.

When we write papers, books which people are not reading and learning, we the writers have failed to reach each generation. Our ideas may be right or wrong, but if people are not reading them, we have failed. No person not now, not ever, can succeed in reaching every generation, every person, and in this sense of understanding, we are all failures and that failure process is compounded, when recorded in a large volume of different languages that most people of other languages cannot read. Hence, the language used in different countries fails outside its own home territory to give others understanding of their thinking and ideas.

The very fact that International Meetings need interpreters suggest how incompetent communication is… for translation process is not a consistently trustworthy delivery of truth.

I thank the writer of the below Website Link Paper for their challenge. Their misunderstanding is founded upon erroneous perception, incomplete homework and failure to learn the complete spectrum of ‘Cosmic Philosophy’ and how it all clicks together.

To understand my vision a person must read all my papers and books, there is no short cut easy way to gain better insight into how I think and why.

My thinking evolved over fifty years during a ‘Quest for Truth’.

If the world ignores my vision and recommendations, that will not impact upon my existence, for I will not be here in generations to come. But failure to change the way we think, by refusing to learn ‘Philosophical Intelligence’ does guarantee that the ‘Habit of War’ shall continue and billions of people over the next millennium shall die, because of intellectual laziness that refused to learn the ‘Big Picture’ in overview.

The e-mail sent to me, as mentioned above in forward… It took me 2 hours to write this response.

Ls Language Study

Dear Allan Ivarsson,

You recently wrote an article titled “Gaia Language”. A few hours upon publication of this article, I immediately intended to write a critical response on my own blog. It took me a few days to write my response.

You can read my response here: https://operationxblog.wordpress.com/2018/06/29/does-linguistic-diversity-undermine-freedom/

I hope we can investigate this topic further together and discuss it. I welcome open-minded and public debate/discussion/investigation.

Yours sincerely,

Dyami Millarson

Does linguistic diversity undermine freedom?

Written by Dyami Millarson

I read articles to be inspired and so I read a recent article arguing that the variety of languages on this planet leads to confusion and conflict, language diversity is an essential problem for progress and peace, and everyone should just speak only one language for the sake of freedom of speech. The author concludes his article by saying that “freedom is fragile and must always be preserved-defended and protected, by whatever degree of force is necessary, to ensure ‘Liberty’ survives.”

The obvious problem is that the suppression of worldwide linguistic diversity requires a degree of force that severely infringes upon people’s freedom. The article assumes that human linguistic diversity is a problem and that a decisive solution must be found – which would be to speak the Gaia language, a kind of English, as the article author proposes. The article appears to be saying: Hey, why should we not force everyone, by whatever degree necessary, to speak one language because it is for the sake of freedom?

This is the impression that the article gave me, and so my response was: Wait a minute, does such an idea not infringe on people’s freedom to speak their own language as they please? Would it not lead to tremendous conflict and oppression if people were told to stop speaking their own language because only one language can be an expression of freedom and all other languages are expressions of backwardness and are merely sources of conflict, confusion and breakdown of potential unity?

One final question: Would speaking only one language in this world solve all conflict and bring about world peace? Definitely not. If that were the case, there would have been no brutal conflicts in monolingual societies. Looking at history, we can see that monolingualism is no recipe for world peace. Linguistic diversity, which naturally emerged over the ages, is therefore not the cause of all of the world’s problems. Instead, it is people’s freedom to speak their own language and trying to force everyone on this planet to speak merely one language would require an unprecedented degree of force that would usher in an age of extreme oppression and conflict.

People speak their own languages because they desire privacy. Moreover, the variety in human languages comes from a human need to be different. If we all spoke the same language, there would be no privacy and that would reduce our freedom. Every people wants to have its own private language to communicate among itself. Privacy is actually a recipe for peace. When humans are left alone, they tend to be happier. People do not like it when there is too much interference in their lives. Forcing people to speak only one language for the sake of “freedom” is a very intrusive concept that infringes upon the freedom of people to speak whatever language they please. Not everyone wants to be understood by others, and this is a way to avoid conflict and confusion and breakdown in whatever unity exists. If what people said to each other privately were known by everyone else, it could lead to conflict and confusion and breakdown in unity. There is an urgent need for privacy and the diversity of languages satisfies this urgent need.

Allan Ivarsson comments…

I think it wise and great to read articles for ‘Inspiration’ as Millarson did. Whether we agree with what we read is another thing for thought and discussion. I don’t have a comment line on my website, because I don’t have the time to respond to every comment. I have observed, as most people have that all the remarks on Social Media sites are riddled with common sense well written comments interwoven by other remarks that lack emotional intelligence, lack logic and are shoot from the hip comments. I don’t have time to wade through all those knee jerk remarks to find wisdom. Hence, I leave my e-mail address and if people write to me courteously and sincerely as did Dyami Millarson, then I endeavour as time allows to respond.

Extract 1 from above Millarson blog… “The article assumes that human linguistic diversity is a problem and that a decisive solution must be found – which would be to speak the Gaia language, a kind of English, as the article author proposes. The article appears to be saying: Hey, why should we not force everyone, by whatever degree necessary, to speak one language because it is for the sake of freedom?”

A.I. comments… My article does not suggest that we should force everyone to speak one language. The article does suggest that the vision of one language should be encouraged to evolve.

Extract 2 from above Millarson blog… “This is the impression that the article gave me, and so my response was: Wait a minute, does such an idea not infringe on people’s freedom to speak their own language as they please? Would it not lead to tremendous conflict and oppression if people were told to stop speaking their own language because only one language can be an expression of freedom and all other languages are expressions of backwardness and are merely sources of conflict, confusion and breakdown of potential unity?”

A.I. comments… Recap: The paper does not suggest anywhere in the article that we should use anti-freedom force to impose one Universal Language upon global society. It does encourage evolution of one Universal Language, as I indicated in my forward above. The Gaia Language paper does not suggest that all other languages are expressions of backwardness. In fact such an idea is automatically rejected by a person with ‘Philosophical Intelligence’. History has demonstrated that many cultures and civilizations have achieved magnificently using other languages, including the Ancient Egyptians, which most people know about.

Extract 3 from above Millarson blog… “People speak their own languages because they desire privacy. There is an urgent need for privacy and the diversity of languages satisfies this urgent need.”

A.I. comments… Actually people speak their own language because the history of the world evolved into different societies over tens of thousands of years. Naturally people, being comfort zone creatures are more comfortable with their own language than with other languages. When people migrate to another country, they choose to learn the native tongue of that Nation. Fortunately the encouragement of countries learning English has strengthened a better understanding between cultures, but not enough, it needs to evolve further as one ‘Mother Language’ including the best synonymous words from other languages.

As for Privacy, if people need to talk in their language amongst themselves that is their right. However, when people talk in their own language, whilst residing in another country that speaks a different language, it is deemed rude disrespectful behaviour, to do so in a public place. Back in the 1950’s & 60’s when Italians & Greeks spoke in their language in public places, Aussies were not impressed by this deemed rudeness. It suggests by perception that distrust and deceit is on the table. If people want to talk in private away from public places that is their decision. But in public we should all be talking the same language to encourage the building of trust and better understanding. If something is deemed private, we don’t discuss it in front of others. That understanding is societal common sense.

Again people are not being forced to speak one language. If one Universal Language is taught in all schools children simply learn that language, they can still learn their own native tongue. As time evolves over three thousand years that Universal Language will become the preferred language by generations to come. No force is used, it is a vision evolution process.

The idea that “Not everyone wants to be understood by others…” is true sometimes, but Social Media in the Internet Age and numerous Websites have indicated that most people do want to be understood by others. And do want to understand others. And their frustration is when the ideas are recorded in another language. They either have to struggle to translate, which is excessively time-consuming with an abundance of different languages or just give up in frustration.

Private conversation in any language is always away from public ears, even in families who all speak the same language. We don’t need diversity of languages to satisfy the need for privacy. We simply talk to people alone away from the company of others when we need privacy in conversation that is common-sense wisdom.

The Internet Age needs to use a Universal Language. People instinctively never trust people who speak in a language that they do not understand. That reality encourages rejection of those people and potential conflict. The existence of ‘Racism’ will never fade away whilst different races speak in different languages. Distrust of each other caused by lack of understanding shall continue.

Extract 4 from above Millarson blog… “One final question: Would speaking only one language in this world solve all conflict and bring about world peace? Definitely not.”

A.I. comments… I agree with Millarson’s question and conclusion. One language would not bring about world peace, but it would increase global societal understanding of each other’s ideas and help inspire better solutions for the planet. Bottom line… is without ‘Philosophical Intelligence’ as I have recorded in other papers, the globe shall never achieve ‘World Peace’.

‘Belief Systems’ are also on the table and with one language it will be easier to discern differences in thinking.

As to whether Millarson and others agree with me or not does not matter. What matters is that my vision of ‘One Universal Language’ is now on the table. And as long as a Universal Language does not exist ‘Conflict Shall Definitely Continue’.

If society chooses not to evolve a Universal Language that is their decision. But understand this reality… the ‘Habit of War’ shall never cease until we have ‘One Universal Language’ and Society learns ‘Philosophical Intelligence’.

Whatever society decides it will not affect me, I won’t be here.

My vision is just a tool of insight into an essential solution to phase out the ‘Insane Habit of War’ on the streets and overseas.

ps. For a few weeks this year, I tried following a Palestinian website that decided to follow me. I read a couple of English Language papers which caught my interest. Seeking to understand the writer better, I tried to follow the website. But after 6 weeks of receiving e-mail papers in Arabic writing I gave up on the website. The Palestinian blogger deliberately did not want me reading the website ideas. Hence a barrier was setup between Westerners and Chinese that cannot read Arabic. Thus by instinct distrust exists on both sides of the fence and true understanding shall never exist, between countries that insist on communicating only in their own language.

We cannot fix problems if we do not live in a society of 100% ‘Freedom of Speech’ and we cannot fix problems to improve and upgrade understanding if we are all talking in a different language.

Teaching an evolving one mother earth language in schools is not force, but it is wiser encouragement to help strengthen understanding about different cultures, ideas and belief systems.

There is a lot of ancient wisdom in Asia, India and China included. Sadly, we need translation to learn and understand this wisdom. Most people travel through life and never learn this Asian Wisdom.

To live and die not knowing higher understanding is the greatest tragedy of all.

To Be continued…
