Biden’s threat message, “He has no idea what’s coming,” is telegraphing a bluff and that will never frighten Putin into withdrawal from Ukraine. Rule of life… “Never Telegraph Intentions.”
Putin tried a similar threat that he would use Nuclear Weapons if USA & the World interfered.
I don’t believe that Putin underestimates USA. I believe Putin’s strategy is to stop Ukraine joining NATO and becoming closer to the ‘Freedom West’ which rejects the anti-freedom ideology of Marxist Communism used by ‘Putin Russia’ and ‘Jinping Communist Beijing’.
Putin is afraid of NATO and for that reason NATO should have made a stronger stand in support of Ukraine agreeing in objective to allow Ukraine to join NATO.
Putin does not want Freedom Nations to exist alongside of anti-freedom Nations like Communist Putin Russia. Communists always feel threatened by the spirit of ‘Freedom Values’. Why? Because tyrants are not allowed to survive in political office in the free world. And Putin does not want to loose his unjust seat of power that he allocated to himself by changing the original seat time of four years to twelve years as President. The people had no say, they were just told of the enforced deliberate change by Putin which rejects Gorbachev’s original objective of only a four-year term seat.

Joe Biden surprised me. This is the best speech; I have ever heard him deliver. He proved that, when necessary, he had the strength to fight to protect the ‘Free World’ against anti-freedom aggression.
The too gentle Scott Morrison delivery on Sanctions was clearly upgraded by a tougher Biden sanctions commitment by the USA.
The one thing that became clear that the global stand against Putin, in defence of Ukraine will force Xi Jinping to rethink his agenda of invading Taiwan, Australia and the South Pacific.
Biden made bloopers in his long speech because of his elderly age, too old for the position of President of USA… but this section of his speech about Putin was well said.
But I still do not believe that the sanctions will frighten Putin or stop his determination to conquer Ukraine.
There is one problem with Bidens speech, strength of words does not mean that opposition to Putin will create victory. The problem in supporting Ukraine against Putin is how to stop the use of Nuclear Weapons and avoid an out-of-control World War situation.
At present the whole fight in defence of Ukraine between Putin and Biden is a game of bluff like in a poker game. It is more than a chess game; it is also a snooker game of wits and intrigue using fear as a weapon.
The people of Russia need to be encouraged to unite against Putin and call for his sacking.
Xi Jinping is the only one that can convince Putin to withdraw from Ukraine and Jinping will not because he wants Taiwan and this Ukraine invasion is a testing observation for Jinping to see what USA does.
